12 Neat Ways to be Neat

Damp, chilly Sundays find us thinking about how to stay dry and be productive.

We came up with a fun DIY way to get organized: Take some of the extra stuff you have laying around and make some wall hooks. Go practical or go decorative and see how creative you can be.

Here are 12 DIY ideas that we came up with to get organized:

  1. Hammers make great hooks
  2. Hitch pins
  3. Antique doorknobs
  4. Mason’s trowels
  5. Valves and pipes
  6. C-Clamps
  7. Screws and blots
  8. Vintage Faucet handles
  9. Nautical Cleats
  10. Drawer pulls
  11. Horseshoes
  12. Old silverware

Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the moment of creativity, even when you’re in get organized mode. So, save some time and some frustration and have your DIY materials and tools gathered before you start. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Hammer
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Drill/driver, cordless
  • Drill bit set
  • Wood or other material for mounting
  • Your “hooks”

Use your creations for photos, coffee mugs, jewelry, cleaning supplies, tools…if you can hang it; do it!

Be sure to share your DIY Get Organized photos on our Facebook page when you’re done.
